CYD? Are the UK’s largest touring dance conference and host over 17,000 dancers at their annual Super Convention in Liverpool, England. CYD?’s founder, Tom Shilcock in partnership with Industry Auditions, embarked on an ambitious plan to create the UK’s largest casting call to be hosted at the CYD? Super Convention.

CYD? wanted to provide an experience for applicants and auditioning companies that set the CYD? Casting Call apart from all others.

The Challenge

CYD? needed a branded online solution that provided applicants an easy way to create and manage their profile and simply submit their applications to the casting call.

The solution also needed to provide casting directors with a professional streamlined solution that enabled them to assess talent in the auditions without the need for messy emails, spreadsheets or paper. Something that was almost unheard of…

A Solution was identified

With the recommendation of Industry Auditions, CYD? identified JamarGig as the only solution available that could meet the demands of managing multiple large auditions across different companies within one private and secure solution.

  • Ability to organise talent for live assessment so paper notes and decisions were not required.

The first CYD? Auditions go live

Over 500 talent over two days were auditioned. JamarGig handled the entire application, check-in, audition number assignment, grouping, assessment and shortlisting of talent for four separate company auditions.
